We care for our country park

Our commitment to preserving Parc Padarn goes beyond simply maintaining the grounds. We are actively involved in important conservation and restoration projects that will allow visitors to enjoy the park’s distinct beauty and rich heritage.

Here you can learn about our latest initiatives and their progress. From removing invasive plant species in the Lake to restoring historic quarry structures using traditional slate materials, our efforts aim to protect the area’s biodiversity and industrial landmarks. We’re also enhancing accessibility through trail improvements and innovative location markers.

Current projects

Highlighted below are key projects we’re collaborating on with various organisations to conserve and enhance this beautiful park’s natural environments and historical assets. Please be aware that there are sometimes minor interruptions to accomodate the work being carried out.

Volunteer at Parc Padarn

Although we operate with just a small, dedicated team, our passion for preserving Parc Padarn runs deep. Maintaining and enhancing this extraordinary natural space is a labour of love that we could not accomplish alone. That’s why we’re always eager to welcome new volunteers who share our commitment to sustaining the area for generations to come. With enthusiastic community support, Padarn Country Park can truly thrive as the regional treasure it is.

The volunteer system is run through the Snowdonia Society. For more information about volunteering at Padarn Country Park see the link below.
